With Adobe Camera Raw, you can enhance raw images from many different cameras and import the images into various Adobe applications. Supported applications include Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom, Photoshop Elements, After Effects, and Bridge. The table below lists all cameras that the Camera Raw plug-in (versions 1.0 through 15.1) supports.

You can get the latest camera support for older versions of our software through the free Adobe DNG Converter. For more details and troubleshooting camera support, see Photoshop or Lightroom doesn't support my camera.

Camera Raw does not support compressed MOS & IIQ files from Leaf cameras. If you cannot open your MOS or IIQ files in Camera Raw, try using a camera proprietary converter to remove the file compression. Proprietary converters include Leaf Raw Converter and Phase One Capture One.

Camera Raw does not support compressed MOS & IIQ files from Mamiya cameras. If you cannot open your MOS or IIQ files in Camera Raw, try using a camera proprietary converter to remove the file compression. Proprietary converters include Leaf Raw Converter and Phase One Capture One.

Photoshop CC (14.0) was launched on June 18, 2013. As the next major version after CS6, it is only available as part of a Creative Cloud subscription. Major features in this version include new Smart Sharpen, Intelligent Upsampling, and Camera Shake Reduction for reducing blur caused by camera shake. Editable Rounded Rectangles and an update to Adobe Camera Raw (8.0) were also included.[56]

No. It will support the Nikon Z7 mirrorless but it won't support the Canon EOS-R yet. I have both cameras and just updated Lightroom from 6.14 to the latest Lightroom classic CC 7.5 and Camera Raw 10.5 and no dice on the EOS-R raw CR3 images. The Nikon Z7 raw files import just fine. So for now you have only two options for Lightroom 1) shoot JPG (yuck) or 2) Use Canon's software and export into DNG and import the DNG files to Lightroom.

Digital Negative was developed to address the lack of an open standard for the proprietary and unique raw files created by each digital camera. DNG allows photographers to archive their raw camera files in a single format for easy cataloging and access in the future. With the format specification freely available, any developer can build software that supports and takes advantage of DNG. For more information, visit the Digital Negative page.

I updated camera raw and am using Adobe Lightroom Classic CC 8.0 Release Camera Raw 11.0. When I import the *.CR3 files taken with my new Canon EOS R, there is a problem with the Temperature and Tint. When I took the photos I had manually set my temperature to 5,600k or 3,200k, yet all the imported photos defaults to Temperature = 7,400k and Tint = +7. The same issue exists if I convert all the *.CR3 files to *.DNG files using Adobe Digital Negative Converter Version 11.0.0.61. I am a regular Lightroom user and have no issues when I import RAW photos with my Canon 5D Mark IV.

I'd also like to report that I'm seeing the white balance bug as well. It seems ACR / Lr skews white balance higher by 3,000 to 4,000K. For example I shoot 7500K and it registers as 11250K when opening the RAW images. Sometimes I have to set it to 50000K in order to achieve the proper warmth I'm going for. I've never had to do this with any other Canon camera.

It is not possible to update Lightroom with the camera raw plug-in. What version of Lightroom are you running? You need to be running Lightroom Classic CC 8.0 in order to have support for that camera. Have you installed that version?

I must say that during installation a error pop up came saying that there was an error and to contact adobe but I totally ignored it cause the installation continued witnout any problems .but after when I came to open my photo it result in failing to open.

A CR3 file is an image created by select Canon digital cameras, such as the EOS M50 and EOS R. It stores uncompressed RAW image data exactly how it was captured by the CCD or compressed RAW (C-RAW) image data depending on the camera setting selected. Canon introduced the CR3 format in 2018 when it released EOS M50, replacing .CR2 files.

The Canon EOS M50 comes with the Digic 8 processor, which allows it to capture images in the CR3 format. Earlier versions of Canon digital cameras used the .CRW and CR2 format. The CRW format is based on the Camera Image File Format (CIFF), and the CR2 format is based on the TIFF specification.

Some other options that also provide editing options include Adobe Lightroom (Windows, Mac), Adobe Lightroom for iPad, or Adobe Lightroom Classic (version 8.0 and later) with the Adobe Camera Raw plugin (version 11.0 and later) installed.

NOTE: Apple introduced system-level support for CR3 images when it released macOS Catalina (10.15) and iOS 13. However, there are Canon camera models that create CR3 images that macOS and iOS operating systems do not support.

Furthermore, it supports a wide range of cameras, to allow as many people as possible to process their raw images with ease, regardless if they use Cannon, Kodak, Olympus, Konica Minolta, Samsung, Ricoh, Leaf, Contax, Hasselblad, Panasonic, Sony, Sigma, Casio, Leica, Nikon, Fujifilm, Pentax or Mamiya cameras.
